A tickle for your funny bone...

Conversation had by The Husband and I tonight...

Me:  I'm not feeling as Christmas-y this year knowing that the decroations will only be up for 3 weeks - not to say I don't want to put up the decor!

(Little side note, the Husband can be a bit of a Scrooge when it comes to Christmas decor.)

Husband:  What do you mean only 3 weeks?

Me:  There is only 3 weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year.

Husband:  How is that different than any other year?

Me: Long pause... You know that Thanksgiving is on a different day each year, right?

Husband:  Long pause... Well, I know it's always on a Thursday but I never really put it together.

Me:  HAHAHAHAHA!!

My Sweet Little Man,

It is your First Birthday!!  Can you believe it?  I remember one year ago when you were laid upon my chest for the first time.  You were so tiny, but so big at the same time - a whole 9.3 lbs!!! You've grown and changed so much since that day, its hard to believe you are the same Little Man.  Everyday daddy brings you to our bed to nurse, when you're done you roll over and sit up with the biggest cheesy grin on your face, it melts my heart every. single. time.  Then you crawl towards the end of the bed to check on Miss B and again you squeal with delight and turn back to us with a giant cheesy smile - I will never forget your morning routine as long as I live!

You are such a busy Little Man, always looking for your next big adventure!  Your favorites are still Miss B and being outside.  Miss B is even reciprocating your love for her - at least at meal times!  Your daddy always picks you up from Miss Sharon's house and whenever you catch a glimpse of him at the door you crawl to the gate and start shaking it like no bodies business, you are so excited to see him!  You two have so much fun after school, you run around the basement like a crazy man and daddy chases you back and forth to your delight!  When I get home you are usually already in your highchair getting ready for dinner and you let out a squeal of delight as I poke my head in the door!  Little Man you are such a sweet, sweet boy, I still can't believe how blessed I am to be your Momma.

Watching you grow and explore your surroundings each day is so much fun.  I know I can't keep you little forever, but slow down just a bit my Little Man, there's no rush to be a big boy!
Love you more than you'll ever know!
