We had quite the eventful Father's Day this year! Not only was it the Husband's FIRST Father's Day, but we also had Reid baptized! Unfortunately the Husband had to work an event at the High School all afternoon, so the day was jam packed. My parents and brother came up on Friday night and then my grandparents (both sides) came up on Saturday afternoon. We had a full house! Saturday night we went to Paisano's for dinner - SO GOOD! They told us it would be about 20 min wait, well 45 min, an emergency banana/apple sauce later we were finally seated... Reid then procedeed to chew on a couple of pineapple rinds, eat some pasta, eggplant, bread, and anything else we put in front of him! I thought for sure he was going to pop. Then we went home and he nursed for 30 min... I think we are going to be in trouble when this kid gets to high school! Despite a very, VERY long dinner, it was scrumptious. I was so busy shoveling food to Little Man that I failed in the picture department...
Sunday we got up early as we were having the baptism done at the early service so the Husband could make it to work. Reid's latest thing is giving the biggest cheesiest grin, so when Pastor Bill held him facing the audience that is exactly what he did. What a little charmer. And yes this is a picture of a picture because again I failed in the picture department - shhhh don't tell the Husband he would be SO ashamed!
After church we all came back to our place and had brunch and just watched Little Man play. After everyone left, we took the Little Man to the big kid pool for the first time... and he LOVED IT! He kicked and splashed and squealed the entire time! We even dunked him and he didn't even cry! He'll be swimming before we know it :)
Reid and I are so lucky to have all the father figure in our lives. It makes me so happy to know that Reid has so many father figures to look up to as he grows up! We were blessed to have been able to spend Father's Day with my dad, my dad-in-law and both my grandpa's in addition to the Husband! Reid has so many grandparents he is SO lucky! Thank you to everyone that was able to come out and celebrate this happy Little Man!
